Lillie "Belle" McLean (1869-1964)

Lillie "Belle" McLean was born 14 May 1869 in Saline County, Missouri. She was the daughter of Laughlean and Ellen McLean. The McLean's raised tobacco and probably hemp in Miami, a small community in northern Saline County. In about 1881, following an extended draught, the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas, to live with relatives. In 1885, she met Frank Forsberg, a red-haired Swedish immigrant with a ruddy complexion. They were married 22 February 1886, in Armourdale (Kansas City), Wyandotte County, Kansas. For the rest of the story, see "About Frank and Belle."
