Laughlean McLean and Margaret Ellen (Harris) Zuck were married 11 February 1864 in Saline County, Missouri. This was a second marriage for both. Laughlean was widowed in 1863 and had two children; Ellen was widowed in 1861 and had four children. Together, Laughlean and Ellen had at least five additional children, four of whom reached adulthood. Those four children are shown with their parents in the above picture, taken about 1881. Clockwise from the top: Joe, Belle, Ellen, John, Laughlean and Laughlin jr. (Yes, their names were spelled differently.)
